I’ll be honest guys, I’ve had my doubts about WR in the Past. I was there from the begining in closed beta. It was a fun time! No credits to worry about, we had all the weapons (plus a few extra’s for some people). The community was run by Ghost, Diva and Korgoth and it was a fun time for everyone!

Then Ghost left (if he liked it or not) and then Diva stepped up to be the community manager and she did a good job. The game was in open beta for a long time and was good fun! Lag was minimal, there were hackers but they were managed quite quickly and removed.

In my opinion it all went wrong when they tried out a new sound system during open beta. This made the game incredibly laggy. So much so that you could run round for an extra min or so before realising you were shot and had died! They quickly rolled it back to the old sounds but the lag still stuck around for some reason.

I slowly stopped paying attention after this, although a lot of people stuck around and were happy with it. Since open beta I havent actually seen anything from WR that has stood out except this! This looks like its a lot of fun, throwing water bombs at each other on the beach… from an FPS game?! Thats actually fun!

Well worth checking out guys, I may even dust off my old username to have a play!

Welcome back!

For the past few months this site has been nothing but an advertising domain. Well I decided it was time for a change. It’s a great domain name so why not use it!

We will be giving you up to date information about all the biggest games that you like and best of all, there all free! Although the site is called FreeFPS we will not just focus on FPS games, we will focus on whatever you want us to! This is going to be the main driving point behind this website, the community. If you want us to post updates about a certain game then we will! If you want us to provide help and support for that game then we will do our best.

Currently I am on my own, I will be needing help from a few willing voluteers. If you would like to help me out them please head over to the forum and post on the Staff wanted topic. You will be given publising rights to the main page along with moderator access to the forum. Also if there is enough interest then there will be a TeamSpeak 3 server set up specifically for this website but if you feel like chatting with a few people from our CombatArms specific site then you can connect to 96.30.3.16:9987

The website as you can probably tell is still currently being worked on. Please bear with us while its being built and hopefully in the next few months it will be awesome!
